Farm Update: 2026 Kidding Season Is Already Taking Shape

We are excited to share a sneak peek at what’s happening behind the scenes here at Goodwin Family Farms — and let me tell you, the future looks very fluffy and full of promise.

With careful planning, intentional pairings, and a whole lot of hopeful anticipation, our 2026 kidding schedule is officially underway. Several of our treasured does have been bred to outstanding bucks, and we are expecting a beautiful mix of Experimental, Oberhasli, and Saanen kids beginning as early as December and rolling into Spring 2026.

Experimental Pairings

We’re watching three special ladies in our Experimental group:

• Bar H Acres KWSR Rain Storm x Vanjust VM Morotti – Due January

• Goodwin FF AM Hot Honey x Vanjust VM Morotti – Due March

Oberhasli Pairings

Our Oberhasli girls are bringing a full lineup for 2026:

• Goodwin Family Farms Vidalia x Vanjust VM Morotti – Due March

• Goodwin Family Farms Dew Drop x Vanjust VM Morotti – Due March

• Golden Obers VG Nelly x Goodwin FF Ash Woke with Dew – Due April

• Saige Ranch J Meadow x Vanjust VM Morotti – Due March

Project Pairing

• Golden Obers VG Rosebud x LDC Farms Timothy – Due January

• The Sadie Rose x LDC Farms Timothy – Due January

What Happens Next?

Over the next several months we’ll be:

• Monitoring bellies and body condition

• Getting kidding pens prepared

• Stocking the kidding kit

• Giving does their shots before kidding
